Why these together? The amazing colors, extremely youthful vibe, and complete juiciness that exudes these collections. It has it all! Matching parasols at Tracy Reese & bold combos at Lela Rose. The sheer looks are sexy without being too provocative, the bold colors, bright prints, and textiles really just want to touch. Slick jackets, floaty dresses, the circular print at Lela Rose mixed with (one of my favorite things) the brushstroke effect, to high impact looks popped together.

Tracy Reese
"Let's just skip these next six months," Tracy Reese
said backstage before her runway show today. Spring is definitely
Reese's favorite season, from both a design and a sales point of view.
Her feminine party dresses (as opposed to structured outerwear, for
example) are what keep the registers ringing, and there were plenty of
those here. A mid-calf, graphic floral one in a deconstructed jacquard,
in particular, seemed fresh. By
Lela Rose
On trips to Coney Island with her kids this summer, Lela Rose
was reminded of another, earlier trip to the Neon Museum, or neon
graveyard, in Las Vegas. The retro signage in Brooklyn reminded Rose of
the fragments of old signs out west; she drew her inspiration from their
shapes and colors, as well as how they had aged. A neon graveyard
sounds a little eerie—depressing, even—but there's not much that keeps
the Lela Rose girl down. By
